Comparing Arsenal’s five game fixtures to Man City and Liverpool

An examination of Arsenal’s forthcoming schedule as the Premier League title contest intensifies, featuring matches against Liverpool and Manchester City.

Against West Ham this past weekend, Arsenal built up more momentum toward a Premier League title challenge. Following their triumph over Liverpool, the Gunners have gotten closer to the leaders of the standings.

The Hammers presented a potentially difficult challenge, but William Saliba’s early goal destroyed their determination.

Shortly after, Bukayo Saka was brought down by Alphonse Areola, leading to a penalty kick. The England player scored the penalty kick, beating the goalkeeper.

Mikel Arteta’s team talk at halftime was made easier by goals from Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard, who scored their third and fourth goals respectively, just before the interval. Arsenal’s supremacy persisted even after that.

Saka completed his brace for the game with a second goal, and Declan Rice added a goal to his two assists against his old team.

In addition to keeping Arsenal on par with their rivals for the title, the win has also given them a helpful advantage in terms of goal differential.

The Gunners have some important games coming up as the competition for the crown is becoming hotter. Having said that, let’s take a look at how the next five games stack up against their rivals, Man City and Liverpool.

Arsenal fixtures

Burnley (A) – February 17

There’s a difficult home match against Newcastle up next; the Magpies have historically given the Gunners a lot of trouble. Although his club is in seventh place and has high expectations, Eddie Howe is facing his own challenges.

Sheffield United (A) – March 4

As Sheffield United gets ready to meet Arsenal in early March, they have another trip to a team that is a threat for relegation. Chris Wilder is back for the Blades, and they need to win immediately in order to avoid dropping points.

Brentford (H) – March 9

Brentford, who have witnessed a minor improvement in performance since Ivan Toney’s return, will be trying to avoid being mentioned in relation to relegation.

Arsenal will be hoping that the player they are trying to get doesn’t keep scoring goals against them.

Chelsea (H) – March 16

Arsenal hosts Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium to complete the following five matches. The Blues, who are currently in the lower part of the Premier League standings, have struggled under Mauricio Pochettino, but they will be eager to cause an upset.
