Liverpool’s new deal, feyenoord star David Hancko.

According to Branislav Jasurek, the player’s agent, Liverpool is “in contact” with Feyenoord star David Hancko over a potential signing.

The Reds have been connected to a number of alternatives recently, so it appears that they have been looking into the market to recruit a new defender.

Antonio Silva, Levi Colwill, and Goncalo Inacio have all been identified as major targets for the Merseyside team,

but Hancko is starting to show himself as a viable alternative.

The 26-year-old’s agent has now revealed to TN (via The Mirror) that Liverpool has been expressing interest in signing Hancko

and that they have already had preliminary discussions with him regarding a contract to acquire the Feyenoord star.

Jasurek also says that Hancko will probably leave De Kuip Stadium at the end of this season, although he will probably stay at Feyenoord in January.

Hancko’s entourage also makes it clear that he will not be joining any of the Premier League’s bottom half clubs and that,

should he decide to leave Feyenoord this season, he only wants to play for a top club.

Consequently, Liverpool’s pursuit of the 26-year-old will benefit greatly from this.

Hancko to Liverpool

But according to Jasurek, he has also had discussions with PSG about getting his client into the Parc des Princes.

In order to complete any possible deal for Hancko, Liverpool will therefore have to contend with fierce competition from the Ligue 1 heavyweights.

Jasurek stated:

“As an agency, we are in contact with other parties who are investigating David’s situation in addition to these two teams (PSG and Liverpool).

Because Feyenoord is vying for the Champions League and Feyenoord knows that David Hancko will be sold,

even in the summer, I predict that 80 to 90 percent of David will remain in Rotterdam. “It would have to be one of the big clubs.”

He won’t play for a team in the Premier League’s bottom half after leaving Feyenoord,

which will compete in the Champions League.
