None of the injured players for Liverpool are expected to return in time for Sunday’s Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth, according to Jürgen Klopp.
After a winter break, the Reds return to action this weekend as they visit Vitality Stadium to begin their 2023–24 campaign.
Thiago Alcantara, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak, Joel Matip, Andy Robertson,
Dominik Szoboszlai, and Kostas Tsimikas are the players who Klopp is now sitting out.
During his pre-Bournemouth press conference, the manager responded, “They are all positive but not ready,”
when asked for an update on the team’s fitness.
However, they are all moving in the correct direction and getting closer by the minute.
Next week, a few of them may participate in team training.
But I don’t think anyone will be back for the Bournemouth match. Until then, hopefully, nobody else will be out.
