Emily Fox, a USA international defender, has joined Arsenal Women. She comes from North Carolina Courage, a NWSL team. Arsenal is presently third in the WSL and will play next on Saturday, January 20.
She will wear the No. 2 shirt and comes from the NWSL team North Carolina Courage. Fox will be playing for a squad outside of the United States for the first time. Her deal’s duration has not been made public.
The 25-year-old, who plays mostly right-back, will support the Gunners defensively as they pursue their Women’s Super League title challenge.
With Noelle Moritz moving to Aston Villa, a space in the team became available, and Fox will give players like Steph Catley and Katie McCabe competition.
Fox remarked, “It feels amazing to have signed here,” after accepting the offer.
“When I think of Arsenal, I think of family, global organization, and excellence.
“I consider raising the bar for football, particularly for women’s play. Being able to represent this team is a great honor, and I can’t wait to get going and perform in front of our fans.
” Fox is already a mainstay on the American national squad and will be present at the Women’s World Cup in 2023.
In 2023, she only missed one of their eighteen international games.
