Joel Matip may eventually be replaced by Lille’s Leny Yoro, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Premier League’s Reds, like many other teams, have endured a quiet period. Over the course of the next week,

not much is anticipated to change, but Klopp will act if the chance to buy a new defender presents itself.

TeamTalk says he has Yoro on his radar as a player.

Throughout the summer transfer window, Liverpool made some smart acquisitions.

Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Alexis Mac Allister were added to Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Lille’s Leny Yoro, possible defence replacement for Liverpool.

So far, everyone of them has proven their worth to the Reds.

With Joel Matip sustaining yet another catastrophic injury that may spell the end for his Liverpool career and Virgil van Dijk not getting any younger,

the attention will need to shift to their defense going forward.

In addition, TeamTalk reported this week that Klopp views Lille defender Leny Yoro as a “possible long-term replacement” for Matip, whose contract expires in the summer.

At barely eighteen, the France U21 international is still young. He is a tremendous talent who has already been linked to moves to other clubs.
