Following his summer tour, Kevin Sinfield will step down as England’s coach, with a new job for the Six Nations.

Following a summer tour to Japan and New Zealand, England coach Kevin Sinfield will resign. In 2024, he will take on a new role as skills/kicking coach instead of defense coach. Former All Blacks coach Andrew Strawbridge will join as a four-week consultant.

The 43-year-old, who joined the England team after England head coach Steve Borthwick left Leicester Tigers, will stay for the forthcoming Six Nations and July Tests but won’t be playing after that.

Felix Jones, the new coach, will take over as defense coach immediately.

Since the beginning of Borthwick’s reign in December 2022, Sinfield has been his number two.
